The Inn
Surrounded by serene byways, scenic seaside vistas and charming structures dating back centuries, Chapoquoit Inn is itself a blend of old and new. You can relax with the comforts of today, seemingly far from the hustle and bustle of modern life, but with conveniences readily accessible.
Originally built in 1739, the homestead at 495 West Falmouth Highway was given as a wedding present to Abram and Lydia Dillingham by Abram’s father Joseph. Circa 1841, Abram added on to his grandfather’s 18th century house to create much of what is known today as Chapoquoit Inn.
This Greek Revival style home played many roles throughout its history. A common theme is that it was a “home” that welcomed guests—a guest house, a boarding house, and with the addition of four new rooms in 1986, a modern bed and breakfast. With its historic details and three-and-a-half acres of gardens and woods, the Inn retains its timeless charm.
